Since last week’s bargaining session, Postdocs and Research Associates have introduced all of our proposals for a first contract, which you can read in full on the RAPUP website. How can postdoctoral scholars encourage Penn to respond to these proposals in a timely manner so we can win a strong first contract without any unnecessary delays? The answer is simple: by organizing together and building our power! If you want to learn more about what organizing actually looks like and how you can contribute to winning a historic contract, RSVP to attend an Organizing 101 training this Thursday, March 19th from 4-5pm. Led by fellow Postdocs and Research Associates, this on-campus training is a great first step for those who want to ensure that current and future postdoctoral scholars have the contract we deserve!
Postdocs and Research Associates across Penn are signing on to a letter demanding the university come to a fair agreement without delay on our initial proposals on Appointments and Reappointments and International Researcher Rights. Over 400 have signed on to the letter so far – take one moment to add your name using this link!
