As of this morning, 735 Postdocs and Research Associates from across the university have signed on to a letter urging the Penn administration to come to a fair agreement on proposals that would add stability and security to our positions through longer appointment lengths and increased support for international workers. This afternoon, academic workers will gather to deliver this letter directly to Provost Jackson’s office.

If you have half an hour to spare, join fellow Postdocs and Research Associates as we deliver this letter together! Make sure to wear your RAPUP-UAW t-shirt (and if you don’t yet have one, they will be available for pick up at the event).

Where: The Broken Button in front of Van Pelt Library
When: TODAY, Wednesday, June 3rd, 1:00 – 1:30pm
What: Hear Postdocs and Research Associates speak to the importance of contract proposals on Appointments and Reappointments as well as International Researcher Rights before a coalition delivers our letter to Provost Jackson’s office
Why: Coming together to publicly show our support and unity is an important part of winning a strong contract. Taking a short break during the afternoon to participate in this letter delivery can help move bargaining forward!

See you there!
In solidarity,
