After last month’s overwhelming vote for unionization, it is time for Postdocs and Research Associates to determine what they want to see in a contract! If you have not done so already, can you take five minutes to complete a RAPUP-UAW bargaining survey?
The bargaining survey gives all Postdocs and Research Associates an opportunity to provide feedback on their working conditions, pay, benefits, and overall quality of life. Responses to this survey are indispensable because they will form the basis of our Bargaining Committee’s positions in negotiations with the Penn administration.
The survey is designed to register many of the important issues and improvements that Postdocs and Research Associates have discussed during the unionization process. However, if you have a workplace concern not reflected in the survey, please make use of the “comment” sections found throughout! Every single voice counts, and your responses will make Penn a better place not only for Postdocs and Research Associates, but for the whole Penn community at large.
